Der Binturong lebt versteckt in den Wäldern Südostasiens. Er heisst auch Marderbär oder auf Englisch «bear cat» – aber er ist weder Marder, noch Bär, noch Katze, sondern eine Schleichkatze. Er hat einen Greifschwanz, riecht nach Popkorn und soll aus dem Stand über einen Meter hoch springen können. Und vor allem: Er ist neugierig.
The binturong lives hidden in the forests of Southeast Asia. It is also known as bear cat – even though he is neither a bear nor a cat, but a viverrid. It sports a prehensile tail, smells like popcorn, and is reported to leap more than a meter into the air. And most of all: it is a curious creature.
